STEVE GIRDIS

Steve Girdis is a qualified Civil Engineer and held the position of Project Manager for all aspects of finance, design, approval and delivery for more than 40 projects over his 33 year property career. Steve served as Development Project Manager of Brisbane’s inner city residential precinct Dockside for 12 years. 

 

Steve has established and directed project teams for a broad range of Residential Apartments, Commercial Buildings, Marine Infrastructure and Sub-divisions across Queensland and Northern NSW. 

 

As Project Manager Steve is primarily responsible to the Owners for the timely delivery and financial performance of the project.    

 

While individual project requirements will vary the scope of service his responsibility is to oversee all aspects from authority approval to establishing the project team, engaging of consultants and marketing agents though negotiation of construction contracts. He has experience in both AS 4000 General Conditions contracts and recently with AS 4902 Design & Construct contracts. 

 

Steve has a broad commercial background for the relevant legal framework required in finance, construction, body corporate and sales contracts and recognises the advantages of keeping these contracts on a common platform. 

 

Presently providing development management for two residential Sub-divisions in Gladstone for a syndicate of Melbourne based investors as well as providing Project  Management services for Apartments in Brisbane.  

 

Steve’s availability can be tailored to suit project requirements on a part time contract basis working from his office in CBD Brisbane. He offers the ability to expand and contract scope of service as required during early project start up. 

 

Steve obtained his BE at University of Qld 1980. He later obtained a Masters of Business Administration at University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1985.

DM responsible to Investor syndicate for 

Design direction, Agent appointment, marketing, DA, Construction Contract

9 Beachfront Apartments- Lawson Street, Byron Bay 

Development Manager responsible for DA, Design direction, Feasibility, Marketing pre-sales, Construction contract negotiation for the Friday Group. 

 

2015-2018 

Development Manager 65 Residential Apartments- Russell Street, South Brisbane 

for Girdis Group and Greek Orthodox Community of St George. 

 

Project Manager X-Ray Facility Townsville, NQ X-Ray.
